According to the data, the peak congestion in the Wujiashan area have been significantly reduced, especially during the morning and evening rush hour. The number of monthly congestion alarms dropped from 35 to 17, decrease of 51.4%. The average time for each alarm reduced from 22 minutes to 18 minutes, decrease of 18.2%. Delays have reduced significantly. The average daily delay time at each intersection in the road network decreased to varying degrees (3.1 seconds to 30.5 seconds). The average daily delay of the road network decreased by 17.8 seconds, which was 24% lower than the original plan. Taking the total number of daily trips at the road network intersection as estimated at more than 100,000 vehicles, the optimized timing plan reduced the total delay time by nearly 500 hours per day within the road network. Rush hour traffic was significantly increased. The most visible improvement was in the increase in traffic at the Sanxiu Road junction of Dongwu Avenue in the region by 15.8% (from 1334 to 1545 vph) at peak hours, and an average increase of 12.9% in all roads.
